Who Controls the World was the brain child of writer/director Stuart Townsend. During his research for the upcoming film Battle in Seattle, Townsend unearthed thousands of accounts of protesters in Seattle and around the world, who risked their lives in order to uphold their democratic rights. The research accumulated:

  • video interviews with experts on the subject of “free trade,” corporate politics and activism
  • historic footage from the actual 1999 Seattle protests
  • labor, environmental and human rights groups
  • the top issues that brought thousands of protesters to the streets
  • links to books, DVD’s and source documents
  • current news about activism around the world

He realized there needed to be a repository for all this great information as well as a place to showcase new stories about activism. Ultimately, we control the world. But not unless we’re informed and empowered. If you would like to contribute stories, video or photos click here.
